I tend to play it by ear but in general will take skull rooms often until late game. I'm unsure how much you've played but there is a learning curve to knowing when to take skull rooms vs items vs cash. I've always gotten Legendary skulls/items regardless though.Īs for the skull leveling mechanic, again I'm not having such an issue. I've gotten him ~4 out of 10 runs I believe. Davy Jones is a Legendary iirc, and all legendaries have very low drop rates early on in the game but increase the farther in the run you get. I haven't had the level of misfortune you've had in drop rates so it could be poor RNG, which happens every now and again. Heck they also bring back the debug mode seeing not much reason to replay the game when you can't fight certain mid boss, bonus stage doesn't show up all the time (play 6 session in the roll and none appear), can't always upgrade the skulls due to value of the skulls and opportunity to savage them, and so forth. So developers should somehow increase the odds of getting multiple skulls or shop sell the skulls especially when you already beaten the game multiple of times. I gave the game another shot but didn't came cross with pirate skull. IMO, it's best to just buy whatever the Grave Robber has at any given time than wait for the item you want because the more items in his pool= less likely something specific will drop. Davey Jones is one of the skulls he sells. If you don't buy his stuff, it will never show up in shops, skull rooms, chests, etc. Most (if not all) new skulls/items are introduced in the game through the Grave Robber and are purchased with dark quarts. There's a separate pool for the Grave Robber. The pool I'm referring to is the skull/item pool (pool meaning the selection of items that have a chance to drop in your run). Though he does show up frequently regardless. What pool are you referring to? I also like to know what exactly is special process of getting Davy Jones Skull are you referring to? I check Skul fandom page and steam news section never mention about it. The thing is that Grave robber is not always there for whatever reason and only sell one item per visit if not mistaken. He's pretty rare (I've gotten him.idk 4-5 times in total out of like 2-3 dozen runs). Sorry to hear about the rockstar skull though. I just know some people didn't realize you had to buy him first before he was tossed into the drop pool. Like I said, not trying to assume anything. I'm assuming you know this, but for the benefit of the doubt, you did buy Davy Jones from the Grave Robber right? I pretty much lost interest replaying the game numerous times for wasting 2 to 3 hours of each playthrough on not getting new skulls (still haven't got pirate skull or guitarist skull) and never fought the nun as final mid boss fight. Those that are just now jumping into this indie darling for the first time may be asking themselves, "what are the best skulls in Skul: The Hero Slayer?" To better answer that question the following list has been updated and includes even more entries to give players a good idea of what to seek out.Originally posted by devawing412:I rather have DLC which gives us real options to fight different bosses and enemies while also allow us pick the skulls we desire or at least higher chance to get them. Players that have yet to dive into this heroic adventure should snag it whenever they get the chance as it's every bit as enthralling as releases like Dead Cells and Curse of the Dead Gods. Updated February 9th, 2022 by Russ Boswell: Skul: The Hero Slayer continues to impress with its adorable and addicted roguelike gameplay. They are wild, but the big question is which ones in Skul: The Hero Slayer should players invest time into? Each transformation sort of acts like the power-up suits in Mario’s various adventures. There are over thirty skulls in the game and finding them all, or getting the best ones, is going to take a lot of luck. RELATED: Beginner Tips For Skul: The Hero Slayer You Need To Know
